DHAMIN AL-KHALILI (M82-SM92) received the B.Sc. degree in
1966 and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from
the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, U.K.,
in 1970 and 1972 respectively. He joined the Ontario Center for Microelectronics,
OCM, in 1982, as a Senior Consultant, and then worked with the Canadian
Semiconductor Design Association as a Research Director. Before joining
OCM, he was associate professor and chairman of the School of Electrical
Engineering at the University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq, then a senior
engineer and a project leader at the Winnipeg Microelectronics Center.
He also spent one year as a Research Industrial Fellow at Northern Telecom,
Ottawa and worked as a consultant to the Canadian Microelectronics Corporation,
then a member of its technical advisory committee. He is presently a
Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
at the Royal Military College of Canada, Adjunct Professor at Concordia
University, Montreal, and V.P. of Advanced Technology Education Consortium,
Kingston, Canada. His research interests include VLSI architecture,
low power electronics, testability analysis and design automation
