SHIVA KUMAR

SHIVA KUMAR received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical communication engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India and the Ph.D. degree from Osaka University, Osaka, Japan, in 1990, 1994, and 1997, respectively. In 1997, he obtained a Humboldt fellowship to do a postdoctoral research at University of Jena, Germany. From 1998 to 2003, he worked at Corning Incorporated, Corning, NY. Currently, he is working at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada as an assistant professor.
